Welcome fans of Middle Earth! Glad to have you back.
Well, as you can see by the title it was crane weekend on 58th street. Worked all day Saturday and Sunday so I’m gonna keep this brief.
Just wanted to show you a couple of pictures of the crane we are installing on the job. It’s called a Favco 740. It’s super heavy duty. We’re going to test it with a 60,000 pound test weight. Anyway, the interesting part is the crane that puts this one all together. That’a a DeMag 500.

When you see these cranes in action, like the Demag, you really appreciate German engineering. It truly is awesome to see how it is put together.
A little background. This tower is going to be 1000 feet in the air. Almost opposite of what we are doing with our little old Hobbit House. I thought it might be nice to throw a picture or two every once in a while so you can see this job progressing. It’s actually going to be a very interesting job.

Hey Mike! This is on west 58th between Broadway and 7th Ave. It’s a ritzy area though. I went into the little coffee shop on the corner and asked if they had a blueberry muffin. The lady says no but they have blueberry something or others, some fancy French name that means blueberry muffin. It must be me I guess, right?
Anyway, if you ever stop by make sure your wallet is fully loaded. A small coffee goes for like $4 dollars here.
